Contrary to what some of you might think, men too are concerned about love and think profoundly about it. The number of men who wish that they could express what they were actually thinking or want in a relationship is enormous. They want women to understand their expectations, hopes, fears, and needs in a relationship. They genuinely want women to understand them and give the relationship the chance that it deserves. However, manliness becomes a hurdle that they just can’t surmount when it comes to expressing these ideas. But women need to hear this relationship advice from men. This makes for great stuff and will certainly rectify and enhance their approach when it comes to dating men.

Men Crave Emotional Safety and Respect

Men love being respected in relationships, but sometimes that isn’t enough for them. They are looking to open up to their women and divulge their innermost views and fears without the fear of being judged or ridiculed. They desire a level of emotional safety that only their partner can provide.

Men Want to Be Appreciated

Men are simple creatures; they crave appreciation and thrive on it. A simple expression of gratitude and praise goes a long way towards strengthening their self-worth and bringing them closer to their partners.

Men Express Love Differently

Men aren’t verbose or articulate when it comes to expressing love in words. They aren’t all poets, you know. Rather, they express their love in other ways, like helping out with the household chores, fixing things, and generally being a more understanding person. Women need to understand this and adapt their expectations accordingly.

Men aren’t Mind Readers

Ok, the point here is that men are obtuse. Contrary to what their partners might think, they can’t discern or pick up on subtle hints about their partners’ mindsets or thoughts. It is better to communicate with them openly, clearly, and explicitly. There should be no room for ambiguity when you are in a relationship, and men need this more than ever.

Men Love Confidence

Men adore confident women, especially those who are comfortable being natural and unfiltered. They appreciate a woman who’s confident in any condition, be it in a chic, stylish, sexy dress or in gym clothes that are damp with sweat. A woman’s confidence exudes magnetism for men, and they can’t help but love it and are drawn towards it.

Men Notice Effort

Men are perceptive when it serves them. This is apparent when they notice the effort you have put into making yourself presentable and beautiful for their sake. Every time you dress up in a killer outfit, their minds go “wow,” and they can’t help but feel grateful for your presence in their lives. So, put in a little effort the next time you are getting dolled up for a date, even if your man doesn’t explicitly voice his opinion.

Men Want Emotional Intimacy Just as Much as Women Do

Men love the physical intimacy part of the relationship. In fact, they love it a little too much, at least in the beginning of the relationship. But as time moves on and the relationship grows older, they begin craving emotional intimacy. They start looking for depth in the relationship, rather than just sex. It is this emotional intimacy that keeps them engaged and brings them back for more every day.

Men also Doubt Themselves

Men are insecure as well, but they can just hide it better than women do. They are sometimes plagued with doubts regarding the relationship. Sometimes they might feel inadequate, while sometimes they might be reeling from the effects of the comparison game with other couples. A simple reaffirmation of love and remaining by their side can be highly beneficial for mitigating this doubt and bringing them back into the game, all focused and attentive.

Men Respect Boundaries

Men are also respectful when it comes to boundaries. But they need to be communicated clearly. As we said before, men are simple creatures who can’t comprehend the unsaid things in a relationship. It is better to inform them of your boundaries explicitly and clearly and they will do their best to respect them.

Men Like it When Women Take the Lead

It’s not always the man’s job to make the first move. They shouldn’t always have to be the ones who initiate every move, like texting, intimacy, and so on. They dig it when women tend to take the first step and lead in the relationship. This releases some much needed pressure and brings them closer to you.

Men Don’t Like to be Constantly Criticized

Men appreciate the constructive feedback; heck, some even love it. But incessant nagging and criticizing everything they do, be it hobbies, dressing, eating, and so on, that is a huge dealbreaker. Men tend to lose interest rapidly in a relationship where their significant other is a source of constant critique and reinforcement is nowhere to be found.

Men Need Time to Process Things

Men often go quiet in times of conflict or disagreements between couples. This doesn’t mean that they are apathetic. It mainly reflects the fact that they need more time to process and mull over things. So, permit them this time so that they can arrive at decisions untainted by impatience or underthinking.

Men Love Being Needed

Men love it when their partner treats them like their rock, an unrelenting, unmoving one on whom they can rest their hopes and dreams. That feeling of being needed and not just depending on is pretty strong. It can enhance your man’s focus and stake in the relationship considerably.

Men Love Humor

Joking, making sarcastic and funny remarks, and inducing levity in the relationship, this isn’t the man’s responsibility solely in the relationship. Men love it when their partner reciprocates in kind and eases the tension by being playful. A playful slap, some light jokes, and shared laughs initiated from the woman’s side make things that much easier and magnify love in the relationship.

Men Want to Be Chosen Every Day

It feels simply stupendous when men realize that despite the length of the relationship, they are still valued and chosen by their partner. Men love being wanted every day of their life and they grow nearer to their partner both emotionally and romantically.

Men Remember Their Partners’ Tone

Tone is what stays with men even if they forget the more subtle details. The manner in which their partner speaks to them has an undeniable effect on how men feel and how they respond in the relationship. The future and integrity of a relationship depend on the choice of tone women adopt when speaking to their men.

Men are Attracted to Peace

Men love it when their relationship is defined by calm, humor, and mutual comprehension. Things don’t need to be perfect for them, just peaceful and secure. Conversely, chaos tends to erode their interest pretty fast.

Men Want a Teammate, Not a Rival

The greatest relationships aren’t ones marked by power struggles, but rather palpable partnership. Men want a teammate who supports them and shows that she is on their side. This is the kind of gal that gets the best response out of them as compared to one who acts like a rival. Her, well, men tend to have a greater propensity to drop them like hot coals.

Final Thoughts

Men might not say what they want out loud, but they really love it when you make an effort to listen. That is why you should follow these suggestions if you want your man to be satisfied and embrace your relationship with enhanced emotionality and reciprocation.
