Are you curious about Mike Myers’ height, career, and net worth? Read on to learn everything you’ve ever wanted to know about the Canadian comedian-turned-actor.

Who is Mike Myers?

Born in 1963 in Ontario, Canada to British parents, Mike Myers started his entertainment career early. At only two years old, Myers was starring in commercials. At 12, he was doing guest appearances on TV shows.

Though he’s been working since he was a toddler, Myers’ rose to fame during his late 90s stint on SNL.

Myers experienced an American breakout during his run as a performer on the Saturday Night Live sketch show. From 1989 to 1995, he was a star player on the NYC-based show. He even got a couple of movie deals based on his SNL characters.

Wayne’s World (1992), based on the SNL sketch of the same name, was Myer’s first film. The very next year, he starred in Wayne’s World 2.  Also in 1993, he appeared in So I Married an Axe Murderer, a cult classic.

However, it was the Austin Powers trilogy that catapulted Myers to worldwide fame. Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (1997) started the franchise that turned Mike Myers into a household name. There’s actually a lot of buzz about Austin Powers 4. According to IMDB, Myers is rumored to reprise the role.

Back in 2001, Myers signed on to another extremely successful franchise: Shrek. In fact, Shrek 2 (2004) is  Dreamwork’s most profitable project ever, grossing $919.8 million worldwide. Myers voices the main character, Shrek, a grumpy ogre.

Like any successful actor, Myers stepped away from the franchises every once in a while. Back in 2008, he starred in The Love Guru. In 2009, he jumped at the chance to work with Quentin Tarantino in a drama.

He played General Ed Fenech in Inglorious Basterds (2009). Before working with Tarantino, Myers only did comedy. Last year he made appearances in other dramatic films like Bohemian Rhapsody and Terminal (2018).

How Tall is Mike Myers?

He’s 5’8″ or 172 cm. At five-foot-eight, he’s on the taller end of modest men. Myers embraces his short stature though, joking that he’s “five-foot-nothing”.

When asked directly about his height, Myers responded,

“Well, I’m 5’7 and a half, though I claim 5’8”.

Mike Myers is the same height as actor Giancarlo Esposito aka Gus from Breaking Bad. They’re both one inch shorter than the average American male.

What is Mike Myers’ Net Worth?

As of 2019, Mike Myers is worth an estimated $175 Million. No doubt he’s on the higher-earning side of modest men. How did he get so rich? There are a few contributing factors.

First, he’s been working since he was 2. He’s been earning money for over fifty years.

Second, he’s chosen to star in successful franchises like Austin Powers and Shrek. In fact, Dreamworks’ biggest film, Shrek 2, grossed nearly a billion dollars worldwide.

Finally, like a lot of wealthy modest men, Myers has significant real estate holdings. He lives in New York City, where he bought a $15 million Tribeca condo. Back in 2017, he sold his penthouse at 72 Mercer Street in Soho for $13.2 million. He purchased it ten years prior for $8 million, so he made a nice profit from the deal.

He also has a Beverly Hills, California home that’s valued at $2.4 million. Additionally, Mike Myers an estate in Colchester, Vermont which he purchased for $1.65 million in 2014.

Of course, all that glitters isn’t gold. Myers was sued by Universal Studios when he failed to hold up his end of a $20 million contract. In the contract, Myers was supposed to write and star in a feature-length film based on his SNL character Dieter.

He didn’t produce a script to his liking or Universal’s deadline. Myers said he didn’t want to work with a subpar script. And even he didn’t feel confident in the material, despite the fact that he co-wrote it. Myers refused to complete the project.

In the end, all parties settled on an agreement involving another property: Cat in the Hat (2003). Myers plays the titular role. The film was a commercial and critical disaster. Dr. Seuss’ wife banned any other live-action adaptations of her husband’s work. Ouch.

His more recent and successful projects include ABC’s The Gong Show (2017) and Bohemian Rhapsody (2018). When Mike Myers gets knocked down, he gets back up again.

Who is His Wife?

Mike Myers is married to Kelly Tisdale Myers. Tisdale is an entrepreneur. She was one of the founders of Teany Cafe in NYC’s Lower East Side. Kelly and Mike have three children together. They have been married sine 2010.

Before his marriage with Kelly Tisdale, Myers was with actress-comedian Robin Ruzan. They met at a hockey game in 1987. They were married from 1993-2006.

How Many Kids Does Mike Myers Have?

Myers has three children. He has one son, Spike Alan. Spike was born in 2011. His daughter Sunday Molly was born in 2014. In 2015, Kelly gave birth to the couple’s third child, a daughter named Paulina Kathleen. He once shared a photo of his kids on David Letterman. Other than that, he keeps his family life private.

His busy family life with Kelly and their three young kids is one reason we don’t see Mike Myers working much anymore. Well, that and the $175 million fortune.

Myers is another short guy we can all look up to. He follows his passion, stays true to himself, and gets paid very well. He’s a prime example of attaining success in all areas of your life. We salute you, Mr. Myers!
