Geologie Review After 2+ Years of Daily Use

Is Geologie skincare worth the hype (and price tag)? I share my honest opinion in this unsponsored, long-term review.

Geologie Skincare Review

To really take care of your skin, you’re going to need to get personal — which is why targeted, customized routines are the way to go.

In this Geologie review, I’ll be giving you my insights on what I think is the best personalized skincare company out there. I’ve been using their products every day for years, and think that any guy could benefit from their skincare regimens.

Quick Take

There are a lot of men’s skincare products catering to guys by creating a personalized routine. But very few of them are doing it really well. Geologie is the best personalized skincare that I’ve ever used, and I still use their products every day.

Pros

  • Their quiz does a great job of matching you up with the right skincare routine
  • Focused formulations do a great job of taking care of skin conditions
  • Packaging design is TSA-friendly and looks great

Cons

  • Premium products come with a premium price tag

About Geologie

Geologie was created with one guiding principle: To get the best skincare, you need to have products that are as unique as your skin.

Geologie skincare
Geologie skincare product line up (4 steps total)

It’s not enough to open your wallet for expensive products that claim to fix everything — and you shouldn’t be pulling a random bottle off the drugstore shelf as an afterthought, either.

With that in mind, Geologie’s founders teamed up with certified dermatologists to make highly effective formulas with scientifically proven ingredients.

Geologie ingredients
I was pleasantly surprised to see retinol, a product that I know works for my skin, in my Geologie regimen.

Pairing that with an in-depth survey that identifies your unique skin type, they then offer a personalized regimen that’s tailored to be a perfect fit for you.

You can also chat with Geologie’s customer service team to help figure out your skin type, but I found the quiz to be surprisingly accurate.

What I Like

After testing out plenty of different men’s skincare brands, I’ve come to really appreciate how well Geologie matches their products to your skin type.

Their quiz seems to actually work. It’s not just some gimmick that gives everyone the same results and products.

I already know that ingredients like retinol and salicylic acid work for my skin, so it was nice to see those ingredients in my Geologie regimen.

Geologie moisturizing
Geologie moisturizer is thick but lightweight; it rubs in clean without leaving any residue (no fragrance either).

From reducing wrinkles and exfoliating your skin to dealing with acne, each of their targeted formulations should start showing results within a couple of weeks.

If you don’t see results, it’s likely because the quiz failed to nail down your skin type and required active ingredients.

Geologie eye cream on face

It’s pretty cool that their packaging design isn’t ridiculous and hyper-masculine, too. Instead, Geologie goes for a fun and attractive aesthetic that doesn’t look out of place on your bathroom counters.

In a sea of all black menswear product design, I really enjoy Geologie’s more colorful and neutral palette.

What I Don’t Like

Honestly, I don’t have much bad to say about Geologie. I’ve tried basically all of the major personalized skincare subscription services, and Geologie is the one that I keep going back to for daily use.

Geologie morning cream
Geologie Morning Cream only has SPF 10. If you’re spending any time outside, use an SPF 30 (or higher) moisturizer.

The only problem with Geologie that I can imagine someone having is that it’s a little bit more expensive than most skincare brands.

But given how effective their products and regimens are, I think it’s worth paying a little more for something that really works for your skin.

I will say that I didn’t noticed much of an effect from using the eye cream, but I’ve never noticed any improvements from eye cream, even from other high end brands like Lumin.

The way your eyes look is largely based on bone structure, body fat percentage and how well rested you are. No amount of eye cream will make my deep set eyes look less tired 😕

That said, your mileage may vary, as many guys swear by Geologie’s eye cream.

Questions About Geologie

Here are answers to some of the most commonly asked questions about Geologie skincare for men:

Is Geologie all natural?

No, Geologie products are not all natural, and that’s a good thing. “Natural” skincare products don’t actually work for the vast majority of people. On the other hand, time-tested ingredients like retinol and salicylic acid are safe and effective.

How much does Geologie skin care cost?

Geologie prices range from $30 for trial sets to $150 for complete 90 day regimens.

How long does it take for Geologie skincare to work?

This is an impossible question to answer. Any answers you see online are just guesses. That said, if you’re starting any new skincare routine and don’t notice any sort of improvement after one month of consistent use, it’s probably not doing anything for you.

Is Geologie a monthly subscription?

Only if you want it to be. Geologie offers one-time purchases or 90 day subscriptions at a slight discount. You can cancel or change the frequency of your subscription at any time.

Does Geologie ship worldwide?

Yes, Geologie ships worldwide to Europe, Asia, Australia, Mexico, Middle East and almost everywhere else.

Does Geologie test on animals?

No, Geologie does not test their products on animals. Geologie products don’t contain any animal byproducts.

Final Verdict

Geologie is my favorite skincare company because they do a great job of matching up your quiz results to products that actually work for your unique skin type.

Their packaging is cool without being overly masculine, and each of their regimens is a great choice for daily use. Five stars, highly recommended.

    Hey Brock,

Good review. I’m 64 years old and began using moisturizers on my face when I was around 18. I have used so many products over the years-some good and some not so good, and some really great stuff too. But many brands come and go.

I’ve been told by so mamy peole over the years that I look 15-25 years younger than I am. Not as much now because I am looking for a new product. I’ve tried contacting Geologie directly but so far no response. I won’t use the entire program, but I will give their products a try. Thanks and good luck.

You’re not wrong.I ordered Geologie after seeing a few ads from YouTubers I like and getting a good discount. The face wash is amazing and the moisturizers are excellent as well.Like you,I can do without the eye cream.I was curious as to why they don’t offer a serum, but the day and night moisturizers seem to fill in that gap.I still use one anyway, though. For the late afternoon when I get home from work i use another product as well,Lumin.Specifically, the daily charcoal scrub as my job entails being around wood smoke and heat all day. After i got the Geologie trial I ordered the products i wanted from them that week. That’s how good these are.

This is, together with the completely change of my dress style for the good, THE BEST recommendation I got from your channel. The redness in my face has disappeared! A million times thanks Brock! Keep up the good content!
