When it comes to wallets, finding the goldilocks combination of a slim profile, useful compartments, and durability is a tall order. Simply put, most wallets are too bulky, too cheaply made, or just plain poorly designed.

That’s why I always love finding a new wallet that really lives up to its hype — and the Airo Collective Stealth Wallet definitely does. Available in a composite fabric called ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) or leather, it’s a Modest Man approved thin bifold that’s probably the most durable wallet you’ll ever use.

Quick Take

Sustainably made and engineered to last, the Airo Collective Stealth Wallet has a nearly perfect design for anyone that carries cards and cash.

Pros

  • Super thin
  • Ultra durable
  • Excellent design for cards and cash

Cons

  • Leather version is pricey
  • If you don’t carry cash, a card holder is a better option

The leather version is a lot better looking, but also a fair bit more expensive; go for the composite fabric version if you’re more into the tactical EDC look (or saving money).

Airo Collective Stealth Wallet Specs

  • UHMWPE or full grain leather construction
  • Made in the USA
  • 8 card capacity
  • 15x stronger than steel
  • Ultra thin

Of course, specs don’t tell the full story. Let’s dive into the brand…

About Airo Collective

Five-year-old Airo Collective was born out of necessity following one of its founders’ BMX accident.

After breaking his back, sitting on his standard oversized wallet was causing serious back pain. And through years of research and development, the Airo Stealth Wallet was made — as what just might be the thinnest, toughest wallet in the world.

The company is also putting their money where their mouth is when it comes to doing good with what they make. A full 3% of all their profits is funneled back into nonprofit humanitarian organizations to advance socially responsible causes.

That’s pretty cool for a company that’s already putting a lot of time and effort into making some of the best gear you’ll ever carry.

What I Like

When they say that the Stealth Wallet is thin, they really mean it. It’s even thinner than my personal favorite EDC wallet, the Anson Card Holder.

And whether you get the composite fabric or the leather version, it’ll be tougher than steel (and equipped with RFID protection as a bonus).

Basically, this wallet is the right choice for someone who wants the thinnest carrier for up to 8 cards and a few bills of cash.

And since the card slots are offset from left to right, when you go to close the wallet it’ll stay thin even if it’s fully packed.

What I Don’t Like

The only thing that’s not on point about the Stealth Wallet might be its price, at least for the leather version.

The UHMWPE version is about half the price, but I suspect that it won’t age as nicely as leather. But given how much time they’ve put into research and development on these wallets, I can kinda understand the price tag.

Also, Airo wallets aren’t as handsome as something from, say, Anson Calder. This is just something to consider if style is a priority in your EDC.

The Airo ONETool

In addition to their hugely popular lineup of slim, stealthy, and nigh-indestructible wallets, Airo Collective has recently released an impressive keychain-sized multi-tool.

We got our hands on one for a quick test, and want to tell you about it here.

Airo Collective ONETool

At not much larger than the size of a house key, the Airo ONETool really packs a lot of functions.

Made of lightweight laser etched titanium, it houses fully 20 tools, including a flat head screwdriver, zip tie release, bottle opener, carabiner clip, emergency o-ring, phillips head screwdriver with hex bit driver for better leverage, and a box opener (among others).

Will it replace your full-sized everyday carry multi-tool? Probably not. But if you’re interested in a truly minimalist EDC setup, this tool is about as small as it gets for including this many features and functions.

It’s offered with a lifetime warranty too, meaning that the (somewhat steep) initial price is protected against any accidental damage for as long as you own the tool.

Final Verdict

The Airo Collective Stealth Wallet is definitely Modest Man approved. It’s thin, well-designed, and made to last. Guys who carry cards and cash will love it.

Go for the leather if you want to invest in a wallet that will age well, or the UHMWPE composite fabric for a more rugged tactical EDC look.
