Canada Goose, founded in 1957 as Metro Sportswear, has been a family business for three generations and is now considered one of the best down parka brands in the world. Canada Goose is creating the epitome of down parka by insisting only on Canadian fillings and domestic production under the clear goal of freeing humans from the cold.

Back then most other Canadian brands were leaving to countries like China to manufacture at cheaper costs. Our business was smaller back then, and we faced some similar issues but decided to stay in Canada. That was because if everybody left Canada, then five to ten years later we felt we’d be the last company producing in Canada.

I think it’s the warmth that you feel as soon as you put our jacket on. The fur and long cuffs are added to make you feel secure, special and protected. Also there is emotional stability from the impression that Canada Goose parkas keep you warm even in extreme conditions like the Arctic. In the end, when somebody puts on the jacket, all of that comes to life.
