Giveaway: Enter to Win a FREE Peter Manning Necktie

Peter Manning NYC Tie

UPDATE – 5/10/13 – This contest is over. Congrats to our winners, Jessie D and Sing L! See the official announcement right here. Thanks to all who participated!

Peter Manning NYC makes high quality, classic American menswear for men under 5’8″. Their chinos, jeans and shirts have become very popular over the past year or so, and the company has branched out into accessories. They’ve started with the king of all men’s accessories – the necktie.

Finally, there is a tie made specifically for men who are below average height. According to Peter Manning:

“Our classic repp ties with the perfect contrasting stripes have been shortened just enough to give you the perfect four-in-hand knot every single time. No more worrying about your tie being too long or worse, having to tie it over and over again to get it just right. Made in the USA with silks from a fine English mill.

Be the guy who wears a tie because he wants to, not because he has to. Wear it with your best suit or a pair of jeans. It works all ways. Limited supply available.”

This is great news for those of us who have struggled with ties that are too long. Enter to win one for yourself using the giveaway box below. There are multiple ways to enter, and each is worth one point. The more points you have, the greater your chances of winning, so take advantage of them all!

  1. Personally, I would go for the red tie with blue stripes. Classic. Plus, here in DC, it’s a safe bet!

    Get your entries in, gentlemen!

my fiancee would looooooooooove the navy & white

  3. Love the site. Great contest giveaway, too.

  4. I like the navy white tie. I kept getting an error each time I tried to earn more entry from facebook & twitter. But it went fine after I refreshed the browser…

  5. Navy and white would be my pick. I had a similar one that I loved, but it tragically died in a “tie hidden in a pile of laundry that went in the washing machine” accident.

  6. I’m jumping on the navy and white bandwagon on this one.

  7. Def going with navy/white. Love the site.

  8. Going with the red/navy

  9. The light blue/navy and the navy/white look great. I hope they offer more ties in the future.

  10. I prefer navy/white.

Brock, know of any good sources on what kind of ties to wear for different occasions and how to tie them?

    • The best source for learning how to tie different kinds of knots is this website:

      http://www.tie-a-tie.net/

I always go with the four-in-hand knot. It’s small, easy and quick.

As far as what kinds of ties to where for various occasions, there are TONS of guidelines out there… check Style Forum and Ask Andy About Clothes for endless debates and “rules” about ties.

Put simply, silk ties are dressier that wool/knit ties. Blends fall somewhere in between.

Solids are more formal than patterns. With patterns, smaller patterns are considered dressier (e.g., small polka dots would be dressier than large ones).

  11. I see the Red/Navy tie, but I’m not sure what the other color you’re giving away is. Someone mentioned Navy/White, so if those are the 2, I might have to go with the Red/Navy to have something different in my wardrobe.

  12. Andrew Devey says:

I’m always a sucker for red and blue striped ties. I need to open my mind though, I’d probably get a tie with a green or orange color theme.

  13. Alexander says:

That red/blue striped tie looks really, really sharp.

  14. Dude, I don’t know much about ties…Whatever you think would look good on me!

  15. Churchill W. says:

Navy and white for me please.

  16. Julian says:

    Down for any color really.

  17. Love the red navy.

  18. The navy and white tie looks fantastic!

  19. Tahina says:

    Navy white stripes

  20. Lyudmila says:

    I would pick brawn color

  21. Antony says:

Gotta go with the classics… either Red or Navy, striped of course.
